2022 Recipient of the Chancellor’s Award in Entrepreneurial Studies

Given annually to one who best embodies the entrepreneurial drive and principles taught in the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship, Anna Manocha is the 2022 recipient of the Chancellor’s Award in Entrepreneurial Studies.

Anna is an Eve Carson Scholar and a Kenan Scholar on our campus.  She believes that great fine art can be created in emerging economies, in environments where artists thrive artistically but commercial exploitation of their work is very difficult.  To showcase that work she has created the start-up “Arte con Impacto” (Arteconimpacto.com) to exhibit and market the work of Guatemalan artists to a world-wide audience.  All profits from this venture are donated to the  nonprofit From Houses to Homes to build affordable housing in Guatemala.

One Shuford instructor said this about Anna:  “She is a self-starter who demonstrated not just the intellectual capacity that characterizes students in our program, but the intellectual curiosity that nourishes an entrepreneurial mindset. Anna’s dedication both to the arts and to social entrepreneurship is laudable and selfless.”

Anna will graduate this year with a major in Business Administration and the Shuford Minor in Entrepreneurship. She will be joining Boston Consulting Group on graduation.
