The Entrepreneurship Minor provides students with real-world hands-on learning experiences, connecting them with industry leaders and innovators, mentorship opportunities, and the skills needed to think and act entrepreneurially in any industry. Our interdisciplinary learning environment and cross campus partnerships make the Entrepreneurship Minor a complement to any major.

Applications open on the first day of class each fall and spring semester and close three weeks later.
We strongly recommend starting the application process early to ensure ample time for completion. Please note that the request requires overnight processing and therefore must be submitted at least one business day PRIOR to the deadline listed.
We encourage you to settle on your major first if it requires an application through ConnectCarolina BEFORE applying to the Entrepreneurship Minor within the Shuford Program – we do not recommend applying to a major program and the Entrepreneurship Minor during the same term.

Yes – juniors may apply to the Entrepreneurship Minor!
However, please note, the Entrepreneurship Minor requires at least THREE (3) FULL semesters AND a summer to successfully complete all program requirements. All students must complete ECON 325 by the END of their junior year. If you are applying to the program as a second semester junior, you will be required to take ECON 325 during Maymester and then complete the required internship that summer. You will NOT be able to complete the minor without taking ECON 325 during Maymester.
