The Entrepreneurship Minor provides students with real-world hands-on learning experiences, connecting them with industry leaders and innovators, mentorship opportunities, and the skills needed to think and act entrepreneurially in any industry. Our interdisciplinary learning environment and cross campus partnerships make the Entrepreneurship Minor a complement to any major.

Yes – juniors may apply to the Entrepreneurship Minor!
However, please note, the Entrepreneurship Minor requires at least THREE (3) FULL semesters AND a summer to successfully complete all program requirements in sequence. All students must complete ECON 325 by the END of their junior year in order to finish all program requirements by their intended graduation term.
If you are planning to study abroad or are a junior, please refer to the Suggested Course Progression graphic to ensure you will have enough time to complete the minor before your intended graduation term.
If you are applying to the program as a second semester junior, you will be required to take ECON 325 during Maymester and then complete the required internship that summer. You will NOT be able to complete the minor without taking ECON 325 during Maymester.
Students may apply to multiple programs through ConnectCarolina during a semester, but you must indicate what additional program you are applying for in the Entrepreneurship Minor application.
Indicating you are applying to another program this term will not negatively impact your application to the Entrepreneurship Minor within the Shuford Program but will impact how you accept the decision if accepted to multiple programs in the same term. In order to advise students correctly, the Shuford Program needs to know what other programs students are applying to this term.
